Yonsei Social Network & Neuroscience Lab is located in the Department of Sociology at Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea.

We are studying how social networks, brain, and health are interrelated. Specifically, we are interested in (1) how social networks surrounding us change human brains (social basis of brain); (2) how human brains enable complex social networks of human beings (neural basis of social); (3) how social networks and brain are interactively implicated in our behavior and health. To this end, we run several research projects including KSHAP (Korean Social life, Health, and Aging Project) and KCWIS (Korean Child Wellbeing Index Survey). We take an interdisciplinary approach to integrate theory and methodology from medical sociology, social network analysis, social neuroscience, and machine learning.

연세대학교 사회학과 인지심리사회학 연구실은 사회연결망, 뇌 그리고 건강을 연구합니다. 구체적으로, 우리는 (1) 우리를 둘러싼 사회연결망이 어떻게 우리의 뇌를 바꾸는지, (2) 우리의 뇌가 어떻게 복잡한 사회적 상호작용을 가능하게 하는지, (3) 사회연결망과 뇌가 어떻게 상호작용하며 우리의 행동이나 건강에 영향을 미치는지에 관심이 있습니다. 이러한 주제를 연구하기 위해, KSHAP (Korean Social life, Health, and Aging Project)과 어린이-청소년 행복지수 연구 등의 프로젝트를 진행하고 있습니다. 또한 의료사회학, 사회연결망 분석, 사회신경과학, 머신러닝에 이르는 다양한 이론과 방법론을 아우르는 융합연구를 지향합니다.
